Kickstand Dismount started in 2022 as three Philly roommates learning instruments they didn’t really know how to play yet. A few years, two more members, and a lot of synth patches later, they’re a five-piece: Tina on keys, Trevor on guitar, Chris on synth and percussion, Brianna on bass, and Sean on drums, with three of them trading vocals. The sound lands somewhere between Couch and Japanese Breakfast: retro pop hooks, indie rock guitars, and just enough jazz chords to keep things interesting. Some songs are built to get a room moving, and others are for the drive home. Songs that sound like summer, even in November.
